Corporate culture

The basis for creating something really special

Pulling a rope
Manufacturing expertise plays a key role at Murtfeldt. But a healthy corporate culture is just as important. That means: In addition to performance-based wages and salaries, further education and training, Murtfeldt also promotes team spirit with joint activities, whether the weekly fitness sessions, the annual corporate run, sailing regattas or bike trips: team spirit adds the right touch – particularly to everyday work.

Sitting in the same boat
For almost 15 years, Murtfeldt Plastics has been supporting the successful sailing team consisting of Murtfeldt employees Lars and Jan Teutenberg. The five-man team sails for the Warmel-Möhnesee Yacht Club and enjoys numerous successes year after year.

But even Murtfeldt's "landlubbers" got an enjoyable whiff of sailing out on the open water: Anyone who was interested was invited to attend an "Open Boat Day" and take a trip on the "wild" Möhnesee lake. This was thoroughly enjoyed by Murtfeldt employees' children, who climbed aboard the Murtfeldt boat full of enthusiasm.

Sports brings people together
Our colleagues who play badminton together in the gym, cross the finish line after six hard kilometres in the Signal-Iduna Park or sweat as they take part in the annual AOK run around the Phoenix lake will confirm this fact: sporting events that people experience together reinforce a sense of togetherness and help to make heated discussions at the workplace fade into oblivion.

Time to celebrate
Whether celebrating the completion of building work, a Christmas party, Open Day or Kids' Day, Murtfeldt likes to find a reason to celebrate together. A great opportunity to talk to colleagues, with whom you have little or nothing to do with in everyday working life, in an informal atmosphere.

Enjoy culture
Murtfeldt offers many opportunities for doing something cultural together. And Murtfeldt likes to take advantage of these opportunities: Murtfeldt employees get to know their colleagues in a totally different way on a guided tour through the Westfalen Park and a visit to the Shona sculptures, a night-out at the Dortmund ballet with a glimpse behind the stage or a "Making Sculptures" joint workshop.
